CKD Dry Freight Bodies
PP honeycomb panel + aluminum frame CKD modular bodies. Multiple models from 14 to 24 m³. Flat-pack in 40ft containers, assemble in one day.

CKD body system
CKD (Completely Knocked Down) dry freight bodies ship as pre-cut panels, aluminum profiles, and hardware in flat-pack form inside standard shipping containers. This reduces freight costs by 60% or more.
On-site assembly requires 2–3 workers and takes approximately one working day using basic hand tools. A 4.2 m body built from PP honeycomb composite panels weighs about 490 kg versus about 910 kg for a 1.2 mm steel-sheet body — 46% lighter, translating to greater payload capacity and fuel savings.

Weight comparison: 4.2m truck body
Real-world weight data from production vehicles — thermoplastic PP honeycomb panels deliver the biggest weight and cost savings over a vehicle's lifetime.
| Material | Body Weight | Annual Fuel Savings | Extra Cargo / Year | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Steel sheet (1.2mm) | 910 kg | — | — | 5 years |
| Sandwich board (30mm) | 760 kg | ¥3,500 / $480 | +150 kg/trip → ¥52,500 | 5 years |
| PP Honeycomb (25mm) | 490 kg | ¥9,800 / $1,340 | +420 kg/trip → ¥147,000 | 10+ years |
Based on 4.2m body, 100,000 km/year, ¥7/L diesel. The PP honeycomb body is 46% lighter than the 1.2 mm steel-sheet body (420 kg less), saving ~1.4 L fuel per 100 km. Over a 10-year lifespan, fuel savings come to about ¥98,000. Source: HOTECH product catalogue, 4.2 m body comparison.

Questions before ordering
What does CKD mean and how does assembly work?
CKD stands for Completely Knocked Down. The truck body ships as pre-cut panels, aluminum profiles, and hardware in flat-pack form inside standard shipping containers. This reduces freight costs by 60% or more. On-site assembly requires 2–3 workers and takes approximately one working day using basic hand tools.
How much weight does a PP honeycomb body save?
A standard 4.2 m truck body built from 25 mm PP honeycomb panels weighs approximately 490 kg, compared with about 910 kg for a 1.2 mm steel-sheet body — about 46% lighter (420 kg less). That allows roughly 420 kg of additional payload per trip and saves about 1.4 L of diesel per 100 km — around ¥9,800 (≈US$1,340) per year based on 100,000 km of driving.
What is the minimum order quantity?
For standard models (LS300 through LS450), our MOQ is flexible depending on configuration. We welcome both sample orders for testing and bulk production orders.
Can I customize dimensions and door configurations?
Yes. While we offer four standard models ranging from 14 to 24 m³, we regularly produce custom-dimensioned bodies for OEM partners. Door options include roll-up rear doors, double-swing rear doors, single side doors, and double side doors.
How long do PP honeycomb truck bodies last?
PP honeycomb truck bodies are designed for a service life of 10+ years under normal commercial use — roughly double the typical 5-year life of conventional truck bodies. The polypropylene material is inherently resistant to corrosion, moisture, and UV degradation.
